Discharge instructions are determined by your physician and may include follow up appointments, outpatient therapy treatments, special diet guidelines, bathing restrictions, limits on activity, advise for when to return to work/school, to drive, and what kinds of danger signs to watch for.
If you have questions regarding your discharge instructions, we recommend that you ask your physician or nurse in charge of your care prior to leaving the hospital. It is important for your recovery that you understand these instructions and follow them carefully.
